Italy is a country that has produced some of the greatest of artists for the whole world. One such Italian personality is making to the headlines and also creating his own headlines these days. This recently published book goes by the name “Mezzo Secolo di Ritornelli” and was published in 2019. This project has brought together a list of the best-selling music pieces into the Italian charts. The book, as described by the famous magazine Sette, a weekly supplement of the daily newspaper Corriere Della Sera is: “More than a book, it is a paper jukebox. Mezzo Secolo Di Ritornelli is the superchart of the 200 most popular songs in Italy from 1959 to today.” The author Mr. Stefano Cilio is an Italian writer, radio personality, disc jockey, and journalist. The famous music popularity chart named Rit Parade is also created by Stefano, a project that allowed him to host a weekly radio chart that lists the most popular songs in Italy. As far as singles are concerned, the project brings the author to list 100 awesome songs issued physically or digitally between 1959 and 2018.
Stefano hails from Milan, Italy, and is a graduate in economics at Università Bocconi of Milan. In October 2020, the 40 years old Italian DJ made his tv debut when his book was for a 300,000€ question in the famous tv show, “Who wants to be a millionaire?” Famous music magazines and prominent public radios such as Radio Capital and Radio Monte Carlo have already praised Stefano’s work. Popular record producer and DJ, Molella, has even created a quiz for this book on the M2O radio channel. The celebrated DJ has started working as a Journalist in 2020 for the recognized magazine, Tutto Settimanale.
