Finally breaking his hiatus in the music and hiphop industry, South Carolina’s SOS LO is now making headlines with his latest release Honorable Flex which has recently reached a million streams. Indeed, quite an honorable flex! He celebrated this milestone with the release of an official music video of his song featuring Chris King and Trippie Redd. Now all eyes are suddenly on this rising star.
SOS LO is an independent artist under his own music label, Death To Normalcy (DTN). Born and raised in North Carolina, this young artist worked his way up in the music industry. Starting off with a makeshift studio in the storage closet of his garage, he made his own music which made sense to him more than anything.
Like most artists trying to make a name of their own, SOS LO experienced many setbacks and challenges. His childhood was full of judgement from people about his family, career and relationships. He came from being a kid who was friends with almost everybody to being someone who kept his circle small but real. Luckily, SOS LO was able to use all the storms he encountered to become bigger and stronger.
When asked about his inspiration in music, SOS LO revealed that the three artists he looks up to are B.o.B, Meek Mill, and Joey Bada$$. Just like his own story of metamorphosis, SOS LO wants his listeners to have a transformation of their own; using his music energy to focus on the positive rather than the negative and come out stronger from all adversities.
SOS LO also values the respect he gained from the “OG’s” in the industry and he considers this as one of his greatest achievements. With his talent and dedication, he hopes he can even work with Kanye West someday.
Thankful. That’s one word that SOS LO could think of when asked about what he’d want his fans to know. He heartily thanks all his audience who’s been with him in his journey of his own metamorphosis.
