According to Jr. NTR, Japan has shown RRR more affection than India has: “I was there in Japan, witnessing people crying…

After RRR’s success at the Golden Globes, Jr. NTR discussed the astonishment of the Western viewers’ overwhelming enthusiasm in a recent interview. He continued by saying that when compared to India, Japan showed more affection for RRR.

RRR was the big winner at the Golden Globes, taking home the trophy for “Naatu Naatu” in the Best Original Song category. Fresh off his historic Golden Globes victory, Jr. NTR participated in an interview where he spoke extensively about the film’s global triumph and how daunting the entire process had been. Jr. NTR further said that, in his opinion, Japan showed RRR more love than India did.

While the actor was questioned about the global attention the movie has been receiving in an interview with Goldderby, he responded as follows: “I saw people crying when I was in Japan, and I believe they better exemplified the audience’s love for RRR than India could have. We reasoned that since the West was discussing about on social media and since there were Indian crowds back home, perhaps a friend of someone there had gone to the movie. However, it was not just one or two people; it continued. We noticed that it was growing, multiplying, and growing until we said, “You know what, I think it’s for real.””

RRR is a fictional story based on the lives of Alluri Sitarama Raju and Komaram Bheem, two well-known rebels who lived in the pre-independence era of the 1920s. Tarak, often known as Jr. NTR, was portrayed as Bheem while Ram Charan played Ram.
