After the Redmi 13R launch, the Redmi 12R unintentionally goes on sale in China

Redmi just released the Redmi 13R smartphone in China, retailing for 999 Yuan (about $139). The Redmi 12R has surprisingly been quietly put up for sale in China. This is all the data regarding the mentioned gadget.

Images of the actual Redmi 12R surfaced in August, according to IT Home. Still, not much was said about it at the time. At first, third-party retailers and offline channels offered access to the device. It is currently available for purchase on Xiaomi Mall, marking its online debut.

The Redmi 12R name implies that it is an earlier model than the Redmi 13R, which was just released. Remarkably, the device, priced at 999 Yuan (~$139), has been made available for online purchase subsequent to the 13R.

Features of the Redmi 12R

The 6.79-inch LCD panel on the Redmi 12R features a Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2460 pixels, a refresh rate of 90Hz, a touch sampling rate of 240Hz, and a brightness of 550 nits. The Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chipset, 4 GB of LPDDR4x RAM, and 128 GB of UFS 2.2 storage are all found inside the device.

A 5,000mAh battery that supports 18W charging powers the gadget. The MIUI 14 custom skin is layered over the Android 13 operating system that comes with the device.

Its front features a 5-megapixel selfie camera, while the back features an LED flash, a 2-megapixel depth sensor, and a 50-megapixel primary camera. The phone is available in two colors, such as Smoke Green and Obsidian Black.

All that the Redmi 12R is is the Poco M6 Pro 5G with a different name that is sold in markets outside of China. However, according to a recent leak, the Redmi 13R will be sold in India under a different name, the Poco M6 5G.
