Ali Zafar criticises Javed Akhtar’s views against Pakistan after arranging a party for him: No Pakistani would do that,

After hosting the lyricist at a party, Ali Zafar criticised Javed Akhtar for his remarks at Faiz Mela over the 26/11 Mumbai attacks.

Ali Zafar, a Pakistani actor who has acted in multiple Bollywood productions, has criticised Javed Akhtar for his widely shared remarks at the Faiz Mela in Pakistan. While Ali Zafar has criticised Javed’s speech as “insensitive,” Javed is being praised in India for saying that the 26/11 Mumbai terror attack conspirators are still “roaming freely” in Pakistan.

Javed Akhtar’s comments, according to Ali, could ‘seriously hurt the sensibilities’ of some. Ali made this statement on his Instagram Stories. Folks, I love you all and sincerely cherish both your praise and criticism, he wrote in his letter. Nonetheless, I always ask that you confirm the facts before drawing any conclusions or passing judgement. Prior to seeing it on social media the following day, I was not present at the Faiz Mela and was unaware of what was stated.

“I am a patriotic Pakistani, and it goes without saying that no Pakistani would welcome any criticism of their nation or people, especially at an event that aims to bring people together rather than divide them. We are all aware of the tremendous suffering that Pakistan has endured and continues to experience as a result of terrorism, therefore such insensitive and inappropriate comments can be quite upsetting to a large number of people.
