From Brooklyn, New York to the world. Basketball has taken Roman Perez to new heights

Before we share the Roman Perez H&M shirt story, we must first read his story. Dreams do come true always when we dream big in life.

Brooklyn can be rough to grow up as a kid, but Roman says he’s grateful to have been raised there. Coming at a young age from the Dominican Republic, Roman’s family had goals always to live the American dream. Those goals were made through hard work and lots of sacrifice.

It wasn’t always easy for Roman, getting turned down from his school teams and being targeted as weak were obstacles he faced in his beginnings. With time his hard work finally paid, when he made his college teams. After just 2 years of playing, he made the decision of going pro. Currently 12 years of playing at the high level, still aiming to continue with his passion.

Off the court he’s the founder of the Dudo Baez foundation, where it provides inner city adults and youth to participate in camps, clinics, and tournaments. The foundation is currently in the USA, Dominican Republic, and growing in different parts of the world.

Basketball has opened so many doors for him, whether it’s movie appearances, commercials, magazines etc. But his biggest accomplishment was appearing worldwide on a H&M shirt. Yes, a kid from Brooklyn on a shirt of one of the largest stores in the world. The shirt titles, “dream big or wake up” and that is something Roman Perez has believed on his entire life. The shirt is currently sold out but the fact that thousands showed him support all over, is indeed a true story of how dreaming becomes a reality.
