Gmail Introduces Redesigned Google Calendar Card for Android and iOS

In October, Gmail updated its summary cards to make them easier to read and use. Now, the redesigned Google Calendar card is available to users.

Earlier, Google introduced a new Purchase card to help with holiday shopping. This card displays an image of the item, live package tracking, and order details. It also includes quick-action buttons like “Track package” and “View order.”

Now, Gmail has rolled out the updated Event card, which works with Google Calendar. This card appears when you receive an email about an event, such as a restaurant reservation or a dentist appointment. The event’s date and time are highlighted at the top, followed by its name and a related image. The card also includes the event’s location and seating details if applicable.

Additionally, the card will show past events from your Google Calendar, including their end times. There are also convenient buttons to invite others, view tickets, get directions, add the event to your calendar, call the venue, and more.

This update is now available for Google Workspace users, Google Workspace Individual subscribers, and personal Google account holders on both Android and iOS.

Looking ahead, Gmail plans to introduce redesigned summary cards for Bills and Travel. These will also appear in Gmail search results and in a new “Happening soon” section at the top of your inbox.
