Google Calculator 8.7 Is Now Available With A New Spacing Feature

Google updates the Calculator app for Android once a year on usual, and version 8.7 in 2025 only includes one simple adjustment.

The only modification we’ve observed in Calculator 8.7 is the increased distance between the gesture navigation bar and the final row of buttons.

From a distance, it appeared like the pill overlapped with the two circles above it in version 8.6.1 because of the little gap. The buttons and display have shrunk slightly to compensate for that, so that’s no longer the case. It isn’t very apparent.

This holds true for both the landscape (scientific) and portrait orientations.

Although it isn’t yet generally accessible, Google Calculator 8.7 is making its way through the Play Store. This is where you can sideload it.

This comes after the previous one. One patch was made a year ago, and Calculator is now a fairly developed program. With a two-column user interface (UI) on large-screen Android devices and the handy Quick Settings (QS) Tile to access the app from anywhere, the last major update was made in 2022. In 2021, the Material You makeover was released.
