Google releases a July Pixel update that includes bug fixes and security patches

For its Pixel phones, Google has begun implementing the customary monthly software update. On Tuesday, July 8, customers began receiving the July update, which includes the most recent security patch along with a few bug fixes and enhancements.

Pixel phones from the Pixel 6a to the most recent Pixel 9 series, including the Pixel 9 Pro Fold, are compatible with the most recent firmware, which has the version number BP2A.250705.008. Additionally, the Pixel Tablet.

A few of the devices mentioned above have been updated to provide smoother visual experiences in applications such as Android Auto. Additionally, the most recent firmware addresses Wi-Fi connectivity stability and performance under specific circumstances.

Incoming are the Pixel 10 and Android 16 series

Google, on the other hand, has released Android 16 QPR1 Beta 2.1, a follow-up to the more recent QPR1 Beta 2, in anticipation of the stable release of Android 16, which is probably scheduled for this fall. It was released as an incremental update with a few minor bugs that beta testers were having trouble with.

These include issues such as lock screen sounds continuing to play even when disabled and the “approve” button not appearing in the Device Admin settings. The most recent beta appears to have resolved these issues. The most recent June security devices for the Pixel 6a and up, including the Pixel 9 series, have been added to the beta 2.1 along with the remedies.

Users should keep in mind that it is still in beta testing and that there may still be some glitches. These issues will probably be resolved by the time Google releases the stable version of Android 16, which could coincide with the debut of the Pixel 10 series.

With models like the Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL, and Pixel 10 Pro Fold, the selection appears to be strong once more.
