Google’s Pixel Weather app starts testing snowfall forecasts with the latest updates

Google recently rolled out an update for the Pixel Weather app, bringing some useful twics to users. The update introduced a minor UI change for the app 10-day forecasting facility of the app, which now also displays dates for forecasting with week days. In addition, the app has found a new shortcut to help users easily save a new location and display on homepage. However, it does not seem new in the latest release.

Smartdroid reports that Google has also started testing snowfall forecast with new pixel weather updates. This feature does not seem available to all users, but the screenshot shared by the publication suggests that it adds a new snowfall forecast card that displays an estimated forecast, ice intensity and time.

It appears that this snowfall forecast card is also available in the season and search of the Google app, offer the same detail but in a slightly different layout. Since this feature is not widely available at the moment, it is difficult to say that it is ready for primetime or if Google is testing it with some users before only a broad rollout. We will update this post as soon as we have more details.

Unlike snowfall forecast cards, the pixel season v.1.0.20250127.72968487 is widely available. If you have closed automated updates on your pixel device, you can go to the Play Store and install it manually.
