Honor Releases the Honor Magic V2 RSR Smartphone, Designed by Porsche

“Getting a phone that matches your Porsche might be a good idea if you own one of these vehicles.” Shanghai, China was the venue for the Porsche Design Honor Magic V2 RSR’s unveiling by Honor and Porsche Design.

Touted as the thinnest inward foldable phone on the market Honor said the device sets the stage for a future of innovation and design.

Stefan Buescher, Chairman of the Executive Board of Porsche Lifestyle Group, stated, “We have been eagerly awaiting the reveal of our first jointly developed smartphone since day one of this extraordinary partnership.”

The newest models in the Magic Series lineup, the Magic6 Series, was also unveiled by Honor in China.

Honor Magic V2 RSR Porsche Design

The Porsche Design Honor Magic V2 RSR has a striking look that draws inspiration from racing. Agate Grey, the color of the Porsche automobile, is the flyline on the back of the phone, which is evocative of the hood of a 911.

With an anti-scratch NanoCrystal Shield, the device is incredibly thin at just 9.9 mm and weighs only 234g.

It uses the Honor Image Engine to power its triple camera system at the back and features an OLED LTPO display. This camera system consists of a 20MP Telephoto Lens Camera (f/2.4) with Optimised Image Stability (OIS), a 50MP Ultra-wide Camera (f/2.0), and a 50MP Main Camera (f/1.9) with OIS.

Users can produce cinematic videos with the 4K resolution support for both front and rear cameras.

The Magic V2 RSR’s Silicon-carbon Battery technology, which combines two incredibly thin battery cells to produce a total of 5,000mAh and supports 66W Wired SuperCharge, addresses the growing need for long battery life in smartphones. However, wireless charging would have made the gadget even more appealing.

A 180MP telephoto camera with an F2.6 aperture and 1/1.49-inch telephoto sensor is featured on the Honor Magic6 Pro.

A 1/1.3-inch customized HDR sensor is another feature of the updated DSLR-Level Honor Falcon Camera system.

With a peak HDR brightness of 5,000nits, it has a 6.8-inch7 LTPO Quad-Curved Floating Display.

The Magic6 Series is equipped with a Silicon-Carbon battery that increases the battery cell’s capacity to 5 600mAh. It is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Mobile Platform. It is compatible with both 66W wireless and 80W wired supercharging.
