Mitch always believed in overcoming the gravest of challenges that came across in his life’s journey with confidence, and that kept him going all these years. To face life’s toughest situations, he enrolled in the Navy and eventually graduated from BUDs Class 273 in 2008. He was placed into the SEAL Team 10 in 2009 and deployed to Afghanistan in 2011 for 11 months, where he worked as a multipurpose dog handler for a year and then deployed to Europe for 6 months on his next mission. During his tenure he faced a lot of situations which were strong enough to break the weak hearted, but those didn’t bother him much as he was destined to win all the way.

Mitch always believed that one should always put their spare time to good use, and that’s what he did by training and competing in Jiujitsu and Mixed Martial Arts when he was free. His passion for this art also had him won awards, with him winning the amateur MMA record of 15-1 and being ranked #1 on the East coast in both the Welterweight and Middleweight divisions, which was quite an impressive feat. Simultaneously, he began to teach other close quarters combat.

In March 2017, he established his company MASF (Mitch Aguiar Smashin’ Frog) Supplements, which initially dealt in selling his fight shirts out of his spare bedroom which eventually shaped up into a full-fledged apparel line, accessories and high quality supplements brand. He retired from the Navy in January 2018 at the rank of E6/SO1 (Special Operator First Class) to establish his career as a professional mixed martial arts fighter and on January 27th, 2018 he made his professional MMA debut winning by TKO.

In 2020 Mitch founded his charity Adopt A Cop BJJ, a 501(C)3 that allows police officers anywhere in the United States to attend any Brazilian Jiujitsu Academy of their choice and learn Brazilian Jiujitsu free of charge till they reach the rank of blue belt.
