Melanie Avalon Explains The Importance Of Biohacking

To the world, she is an actor, podcaster, author, and influencer. But to herself, Melanie Avalon is a “biohacker”. Biohacking is a concept derived from the new sciences that include a wide range of activities that affect the health and longevity of an individual to optimize one’s performance. In simple words, we can call it a “do it yourself biology”.

But for Melanie, biohacking is not simply a process of making dietary or lifestyle choices that suit an individual, but an overarching mindset that can bring a sense of health and peace. She continuously tries and tests different tools that provide incredible health benefits and stress mitigation, and which support longevity. Her obsession has notably helped her explore and question unique ideas from many experts. On her top iTunes podcast, The Melanie Avalon Biohacking Podcast, Melanie picks the brains of the world’s top doctors, authors, and researchers, including David Sinclair, Robb Wolf, Dave Asprey, Wim Hof, Dr. Daniel Amen, Dr. David Perlmutter, Dr. Robert Lustig, and many more. She not only yearns to share her knowledge with her audience but desires to help others adopt the concept of biohacking, especially since it may appear inaccessible and overwhelming to people at first.

Over the years, Melanie has partnered with and interviewed the founders of a myriad of biohacking brands that can help enhance the users’ health, as well as protect the environment we live in. These innovative brands include Oura ring, which measures heart rate variability, temperature, activity, and respiration; Joovv red and near infrared devices, which modulate the cellular mitochondria for energy, muscle recovery, and sleep; companies providing consumer access to continuous glucose monitors, such as Nutrisense and Levels; Butcher Box, which provides access to sustainable meat from environmentally-friendly agriculture; InsideTracker, which provides access to blood tests and provides personalized dietary and lifestyle recommendations to lower one’s “inner age”; and Feals, a premium CBD which works naturally to reduce pain, anxiety and sleep issues.

To further emphasize the importance of biohacking, Melanie created the top iTunes app, Food Sense Guide, which helps users identify potential food sensitivities from natural compounds present in their meals, that may cause an array of health problems. Users can learn more about the compounds, see their quantities in over 300 foods, make their own lists to share and print, and more.

In an era where it seems like time is flying, there is a need to pause, and ascertain which efforts will truly revitalize our health. Or in the words of Melanie Avalon, “Breath. Be kind. You got this”.
