Nayanjyoti Saikia of Assam wins MasterChef India 7 and receives a reward of Rs. 25 lakh, calling it “surreal”

The winner of MasterChef India, Nayanjyoti Saikia of Assam, receives a trophy and a reward fund of Rs. 25 lakh. Suvarna Bagul was in third place, followed by Santa Sarmah.

Nayanjyoti Saikia from Assam won MasterChef India season 7 after overcoming a number of obstacles. On Friday, the winner of the well-known cooking reality programme was revealed after almost three months. Suvarna Bagul was named the second runner-up, and Santa Sarmah was named the first runner-up.

“I had a simple dream, and that was to go to MasterChef India and cook, but now I feel like all my life’s goals have been achieved,” Nayanjyoti Saikia said to India Today after his victory. In addition to attending MasterChef, I also received the apron, and winning this challenging culinary contest is strangely unreal. Although the three judges, particularly Chef Vikas Khanna, who has been so supportive of me since the day of the auditions, helped us tremendously, we still had our doubts. The most important thing is that my father is the happiest of all of them. He initially opposed watching me prepare, but today, this success makes it all worthwhile.

On January 2, 2023, Sony Entertainment Television premiered the seventh season of the Indian reality TV competition series MasterChef India. As one of the programme’s judges, Vineet Bhatia was replaced by Garima Arora, and Vikas Khanna and Ranveer Brar made a comeback.
