Neena Gupta acknowledges feeling envious of younger actors who dress up for big events: I could have done…

Actress Neena Gupta enjoyed a good deal of popularity in her era. In fact, it wouldn’t be inaccurate to suggest that her career is still on the upswing. She has demonstrated that age is simply a number in films like Badhaai Ho, Goodbye, Uunchai, and others. Neena is one of those actors who never holds back when discussing all the vital aspects of life. The actress acknowledged in a recent interview with News 18 that she envies the newer generation of actresses, like Alia Bhatt, Deepika Padukone, and Priyanka Chopra, for receiving international recognition that they did not have at the time.

Neena Gupta went on to say that if she were ever invited to a major international event, she would dress in an ensemble created by her fashion designer daughter Masaba Gupta. She jokingly said that since she lacks the figure to wear a gown, she will don a lovely saree instead. “I’m available if they call. If I’m invited to go [to an international event], I’ll wear a gorgeous saree. However, no one has invited me (laughter). I have Masaba to style me if a chance arises.
