Samsung has released One UI 9 Beta 4 for the Galaxy S26 series, continuing to refine its Android 17 experience ahead of the stable rollout.
The latest beta, first spotted in India, is around 1.25GB in size and also includes the July 2026 security patch. Rather than introducing new features, this update focuses on improving stability and fixing bugs reported by beta testers.
One of the key fixes targets the Galaxy S26 Ultra’s Privacy Display feature. Samsung says the function could behave unexpectedly when users enabled or disabled it through the Quick Settings panel or the Settings app. That issue has now been addressed.
Gamers are also getting a smoother experience. Beta 4 resolves a bug that caused the navigation bar to disappear under certain conditions while playing games. In addition, Samsung has fixed a Bluetooth issue that affected media volume when the phone was connected to a car.
The update also includes several other improvements:
- Fixed an issue where timer notification numbers could be cut off or Live Notifications appeared unstable.
- Improved performance when opening and closing the Quick Settings panel.
- Fixed a bug that caused the lock screen clock to display at an incorrect size when switching between portrait and landscape mode.
Stable One UI 9 release getting closer
Samsung has maintained a steady pace with its One UI 9 beta program, releasing updates roughly once a month. Beta 3 arrived in mid-June and, like the latest release, was over 1GB in size. It first rolled out in select regions before expanding to more users.
That update focused on reliability as well, fixing problems such as unexpected reboots during video streaming on the Galaxy S26 lineup. Samsung also improved 30x zoom autofocus performance and resolved a white screen issue that could appear during phone calls.
With Beta 4 continuing to prioritize bug fixes and system stability, the stable version of One UI 9 for the Galaxy S26 series appears to be getting closer.
