In The Big Bang Theory episode “The Donation Oscillation,” while attempting to entice her abstaining husband Leonard (Johnny Galecki) to demolish his sperm donation for her ex boyfriend Zack (Brian Thomas Smith) and his wife Marissa (Lindsey Kraft), Penny (Kaley Cuoco) is visited by her dad Wyatt.
Penny’s dad Wyatt is depicted by Oscar winner Keith Carradine.
Carradine is known for his jobs on Madam Secretary (President Conrad Dalton), Fargo (Lou Solverson), Dexter (Special Agent Frank Lundy), Deadwood (Will Bill Hickock), and in an assortment of movies including The Ballad of the Sad Café (Marvin Macy), Pretty Baby (Bellocq), and Robert Altman’s Nashville (Tom Frank), among others.
Carradine won an Oscar for Best Music, Original Song for his melody “I’m Easy” highlighted in Nashville. The Big Bang Theory affectation Thursdays at 8 pm on CBS, directly before its spin-off Young Sheldon.
