The Honor Tablet 9 and the Honor 90 GT smartphone were introduced in China on Thursday. The newest tablet from the former Huawei subsidiary has a 12.1-inch 2.5K screen and is available in three different colors. The Honor Tablet 9 is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 processor with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of onboard storage, running MagicOS 7.2, an Android 13 operating system. The tablet has eight speakers and an 8,300mAh battery that supports 35W rapid charging.

The 8GB RAM + 128GB storage model of the Honor Tablet 9 is priced at CNY 1,599, or approximately Rs. 18,500. As an introductory offer, Honor is giving this model a CNY 100 discount. While the 12GB + 256GB model costs CNY 1,999 (approximately Rs. 23,500), the 8GB + 256GB model is priced at CNY 1,699 (roughly Rs. 20,500).
Priced at CNY 2,199 (approximately Rs. 26,200), the top-of-the-line model has 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. It comes in three color options: Sky Blue, Starry Sky Gray, and Muguang White (which is the translation from Chinese).

With a 12.1-inch 2.5K (1,600×2,560 pixels) IPS display, 120Hz refresh rate, 249ppi pixel density, 88 percent screen-to-body ratio, and 16:10 aspect ratio, the Honor Tablet 9 is powered by MagicOS 7.2, which is based on Android 13. The display has TÜV Rheinland certification and is rated to produce a maximum brightness of 500 nits. A 4nm Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 SoC, together with 512GB of onboard storage and up to 12GB of RAM, powers the tablet.
The Honor Tablet 9’s optics include a 13-megapixel autofocus rear camera sensor with an f/2.0 aperture. Its 8-megapixel front-facing sensor has an f/2.2 aperture and front focus for taking selfies and making video calls.
The tablet has dual band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1, and a USB Type-C port that can be used for external devices. There are two sensors on board: an ambient light sensor and an accelerometer. Honor’s Histen sound effects are played on eight speakers and two microphones.
An 8,300mAh battery with 35W fast charging support powers the Honor Tablet 9. On a single charge, the battery is rated to provide up to 8 hours of video playback. It weighs about 559g and is 278.27×180.11×6.96mm in size.
