It appears that ZTE Malaysia has reintroduced the Redmagic 9 Pro to the local market, albeit at a reduced cost. The phone’s local pricing was actually revealed over two weeks ago, but the company informed Amanz that this official version of the phone comes with a Malaysian warranty, while the previous version sold on its Shopee Mall store was the global set.
Recall that the Redmagic 9 Pro features a 6.8-inch AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 120Hz, a maximum brightness of 1,600 nits, Gorilla Glass 5 protection, and an RGB fan integrated into the back to keep the display cool during extended gaming sessions.
It is powered by a brand-new Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor from Qualcomm, which has 512GB of storage and up to 16GB of RAM as standard.
A 16MP sensor is concealed as an under-display camera on the front, while a 50MP main unit with OIS and a 50MP ultra-wide lens are featured on the rear setup for photography. The device is powered by a sizable 6,500mAh battery that supports 80W of wired charging.
The 12GB+256GB model of the Redmagic 9 Pro now starts at RM3,499, while the 16GB+512GB model costs RM4,399. Pre-orders via the company’s Malaysian Shopee Mall store will be available from January 10 to January 14, 2024.
As part of this promotion, the brand is giving away a free set of wireless earbuds with the phone.
