The Android 14-based Realme UI 5.0 early access update for the Realme 9 Pro 5G is currently available in India

First access to the new Realme UI 5.0 is extended to the Realme 9 Pro 5G in India. Since it’s still in beta, there are a few limitations with this update, which is based on the Android 14 operating system and includes a ton of new features and enhancements.

A refined and more natural color experience is offered by the updated Aquamorphic Design of the Realme UI 5.0. Better system notification sounds and new ringtones with an Aquamorphic theme are also included in the bundle. Along with faster app launches, more stable system performance, and better system animations, users will notice improvements.

Two important features are the expanded widget options on the Immediate Shelf and Fluid Cloud, which provides up-to-date information at a glance. Along with better photo and video permission management for faster app access, security and privacy enhancements have also been made.

It is important for users to be aware that this early access version has certain known issues. One noteworthy bug that can be temporarily fixed by dragging down the status bar is the inability to slide the desktop when using floating windows. Moreover, although it is anticipated in later updates, the Glance Lock-screen feature is not available at this time.

Realme 9 Pro 5G users can now experience the most recent Realme UI 5.0 update through the Early Access program, a beta initiative. Similar to any beta software, certain apps might not work properly and there might be bugs. It is therefore advised against installing this on a primary device.

Applications for the early access program opened on January 27, 2024, for those who were interested. It’s crucial to remember that there are only a certain number of spots available and that applications are accepted in batches. To avoid data loss, users must make sure their phone is not rooted, have more than 15GB of free storage, and regularly backup their data. Furthermore, it is not guaranteed that every applicant will receive the update, and those who do not are advised to exercise patience.

In order to apply, users need to charge their Realme 9 Pro 5G above 60%, update to the required UI version on their device, turn on Developer Mode, and use the Software Update Application channel.
