According to Vaibhavi Upadhyaya’s fiancé Jay Gandhi, they were using seat belts when the tragedy happened: We weren’t going fast

Jay Gandhi, the fiancé of Vaibhavi Upadhyaya, denied suggestions that they were not buckled in. On May 22, she perished when the automobile plunged into a valley in Himachal.

The late actor Vaibhavi Upadhyaya’s fiancé, Jay Gandhi, stated on Friday that they were using seat belts at the time of the collision. He added that the automobile was stationary and they were not driving fast. While on vacation in Himachal Pradesh, his and Vaibhavi’s car was struck by a truck, causing it to crash into a valley. Vaibhavi sustained head injuries after she tried getting out of a car which fell into a gorge, said Police. May 22 marks her passing.

Jay and Vaibhavi were scheduled to wed in December. There is a misconception that you speed while travelling by car, but that was not the case, he told ETimes. Our car was at a complete stop while we awaited the truck to pass. I can’t communicate much right now, but I wanted to make sure that people didn’t think we were speeding or not wearing seat belts.

Additionally, Vaibhavi had roles in the TV shows Please Find Attached, CID, and Adaalat as well as the movies CityLights (2014) and Chhapaak (2020). The last time we saw Vaibhavi was in the movie Timir, which also starred Nidhi Bisht and Anjum Rajabali.
