Atlanta Falcons hire Tennessee Titans OC Arthur Smith as new head coach

Arthur Smith is the new lead trainer of the Atlanta Falcons.

The group and the previous Tennessee Titans hostile organizer consented to terms Friday, the association declared. Smith is supplanting Dan Quinn and Raheem Morris. Quinn was terminated by the Falcons after an extreme beginning, and Morris was named the between time mentor yet wasn’t advanced.

Smith, 38, was with the Titans for 10 seasons, including the last two as hostile organizer under mentor Mike Vrabel. The Titans completed tenth in focuses scored and twelfth in yards acquired in 2019, and fourth in focuses scored and second in yards acquired in 2020. Tennessee made the end of the season games the two seasons.

Atlanta could utilize a lift in offense, something it hasn’t seen since Kyle Shanahan was running the offense.

The Falcons went to the end of the season games twice and lost Super Bowl LI to the New England Patriots in extra time in the wake of blowing a 28-3 lead. Atlanta made the end of the season games during the 2017 season yet was ricocheted from the divisional round. Atlanta hasn’t been back since.

In Quinn’s time, Atlanta completed in the main 10 in yards acquired multiple times yet just completed in the best 10 in focuses scored twice. The group was driven by Matt Ryan at quarterback and Julio Jones at wide collector. The group could utilize another weapon or use their maturing veterans enough to return to the end of the season games.

Titans wide beneficiary A.J. Earthy colored gave Smith his seal of endorsement on Twitter.

“Held me accountable from day 1. Always trying to improve. Atlanta got a good one,” Brown tweeted.
