Since the Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani teaser debuted last month, everyone has been curious about Jaya Bachchan’s role in Karan Johar’s next romantic comedy. Her harsh matriarchal character Dhanlakshmi looks out of place in the happy, upbeat world of the Dharma Productions film.
In the newest song from the movie, Dhindhora Baje Re, Jaya’s role has once again gained attention. On the occasion of Durga Puja, Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh perform a spirited dance performance in the movie. Jaya comes out as a lone person in a sea of red saris against the background.
In the song, Alia and Ranveer are seen dancing enthusiastically together while wearing traditional red clothing. The song features multiple backdrop dancers who are all wearing red, and it is set at a Durga Puja celebration. It was written by Amitabh Bhattacharya and performed by Darshan Raval and Bhoomi Trivedi. Vaibhavi Merchant choreographed the song, and Pritam provided the music.
