European Smartphone Maker Launches Budget-Friendly 5G Device with No-Panic Button

Recognized for its award-winning products, emporia is a brand that has been in the European market for over thirty years. According to Karin Schaumberger, International Sales and Marketing Manager at emporia, “the emporiaME.6 caters to those who value the protective features of a phone.”

Europe is the birthplace of the new emporiaME.6. The ME.6 comes pre-configured with Android mode, but users can choose to switch to a more straightforward interface with big, readable fonts and icons.

The ME.6 has all the features one would expect from a modern device: the most recent 5G capability, Android 13, a powerful triple camera setup with Camera Pro, a quick octa-core processor, voice input, and ASHA support for excellent sound quality even when using hearing aids. It also has a fingerprint sensor, which is currently necessary for digital services in many European countries.

Additionally, the emporiaME.6 adds a “no-panic-button.” This button, which has a red circle and heart on it, is easily accessible without requiring complicated keystrokes or menu navigation thanks to its convenient location on the back of the phone.

The international emergency number 112 is automatically dialed after three seconds of pressing. For a prompt response, location information is also sent in real time to your personal emergency contacts. To draw attention from the surrounding area, the phone starts to flash and sound an alarm.

“The assistance button offers peace of mind, ensuring you’re never truly alone,” asserts Karin Schaumberger. It’s an asset in various scenarios, like returning home in the dark.

The ME.6 comes pre-configured with Android mode, but users can choose to switch to a more straightforward interface with big, readable fonts and icons. In this mode, all notifications—missed calls, emails, and messages—are consolidated into a single Info Center.

Eighty percent of the value of the emporiaME.6 comes from sources in Europe, a testament to the skill and design skill of German and Austrian engineering teams.

The price of the emporiaME.6 when it launches on EU markets is 299,90 euros.
