Google brings THIS Pixel 8-only Function to Previous Handsets: More Information here

Google is gradually bringing out editing features for earlier Pixel smartphones that are powered by AI. Previously, the Google Pixel 8 range was the only one with access to these functionalities. This happened after the tech giant said that starting on May 15, all users would have access to AI tools like Magic Editor. These new features are now being rolled out by the company.

Reddit users with older Pixel smartphones announced the addition of AI-powered editing capabilities to their devices. Magic Editor is one of the key features that are being released for these devices. These functionalities are now available on smartphones like the Pixel 6 and Pixel 7, which lacked them previously.

For those who don’t know, the Google Pixel 8 introduced the Magic Editor function, which leverages generative AI to assist users in reimagining their images and making specific adjustments, such moving the subject or altering the sky or background.

The features that will be available on earlier Pixel devices include Magic Editor, Photo Unblur, Magic Eraser, Portrait Blur, Sky Suggestions, cinematic photographs, portrait lighting, and more, according to a 9to5Google report.

When Pixel customers first started using them, a few of these capabilities were exclusive to Google One subscribers. These features are now available to all Pixel owners for free through Google Photos. Furthermore, owners of Pixel tablets will also have access to the same functionalities, but specific device availability may apply.

A limitation-laden version of AI-powered editing tools was also announced by Google in its initial release, which also applied to other Android and iPhone smartphones. The first monthly Magic Editor savings for users of these devices will be ten. In the event that customers want to go above this cap, users will have to upgrade to a Pixel device or sign up for the $9.99 (about Rs. 830) monthly Premium Google One plan.
