Google has officially introduced the much-awaited unsend feature in Google Messages, giving users more control over their conversations. With this update, users can now delete messages they’ve already sent, preventing them from being seen by the recipient.
The feature works similarly to WhatsApp and other popular messaging platforms. If you send a text by mistake, you’ll now have a time window to “unsend” it. Once deleted, the message will disappear from both ends of the conversation, ensuring greater privacy and fewer awkward moments.
This rollout is part of Google’s efforts to make Messages more competitive and user-friendly, especially as RCS (Rich Communication Services) continues to expand globally. The feature is being made available to all users in the latest update, so make sure your app is updated to enjoy the new functionality.
The addition of message unsending highlights Google’s focus on enhancing user experience and keeping pace with rival messaging apps.
