Iranian Handicrafts ideas and designs are copied by other countries and sold as their own which is a cause of worry says Ehsan Mohammadi.

When it comes to handicrafts Iran tops the list, but due to lack of any branding they are losing their identity.

30 year Ehsan Mohammadi, an expert and a designer who has been in the field of luxury handicrafts since the age of 18 and carries in-depth knowledge and experience in the field of Iranian handicrafts which are a rage globally. He has created innovative designs in luxury handicraft products which are not only limited to personal accessories but also covers home interiors and furniture. His products are an amalgamation of the bygone era and modern designs which make his products stand out from the ones you see in the market.

Ehsan says that Iran has had an age old tradition of churning out the best handmade arts and crafts since ages. Iranian designs are unique and are much in demand in overseas markets. But since the country does not brand its products nor does it have any name or logo when it introduces its products in the market, most of its designs and ideas are lifted by other manufacturers and sold in the market as genuine Iranian handicrafts which is cause of concern in today’s times. Many big names and brands are using Iranian products as their own without paying any royalty or fee to the original manufacturer or creator of the original product. He strongly feels that this has to be stopped as Iranian artists are not benefitting financially nor are they given any credit for the outstanding workmanship that they put into creating every handmade product. Ehsan says that it’s very important in current conditions to brand the country’s arts and handicraft products before exporting them to benefit the country economically which stands true in every sense.

“In spite of introducing replicas of genuine Iranian handicraft products at cheaper prices these countries have not been really able to compete with the originals that come out from stables of the age old traditional makers who have spun remarkable pieces since past 2,500 years and I’m sure that they would never ever be able to give the quality and standards that Iran, the originators weave” states Ehsaan before signing off.
