MediaTek Dimensity 8250 was Introduced with 5G Connectivity and Artificial Intelligence Capabilities

In the luxury mid-range market, MediaTek has introduced the Dimensity 8250, a new chipset. Based on TSMC’s ultra-efficient 4nm architecture, it is a 5G capable CPU. To expedite AI-related processes on smartphones, the chipset also has a specialized APU. The new Dimensity 8250 is covered in all the information that follows.

MediaTek Dimensity 8250: Features and Specifications

At its maximum clock speed of 3.1GHz, the MediaTek Dimesnity 8250 chipset has eight cores. It has three Cortex-A78 cores with a reduced clock speed, four Cortex-A55 cores, and a single Cortex-A78 core. A 4MB L3 cache is included into the chipset.

GPU model number: Mali-G610 MC6; device model: Dimensity 8250. UFS 3.1 storage is compatible with the chipset, which also supports LPDDR5 RAM at up to 6400Mbps. For artificial intelligence processing, the CPU also has the MediaTek APU 580.

The 320MP primary camera is supported by this new MediaTek chipset. Furthermore, it is capable of recording videos in HDR at 4K 60 frames per second using three rear cameras. Furthermore supported by the processor are Full HD+ monitors at 180Hz and WQHD+ panels at 120Hz.

With support for SA, NSA, and 3CC sub-6GHz 5G networks, the Dimensity 8250 has a fully integrated 5G modem. Maximum download rates of 4.7 Gbps are possible with this chipset. Wireless 6E with 2×2 MIMO and Bluetooth 5.3 are natively supported as additional connectivity choices.

The NavIC navigation satellites from India are also supported by the Dimensity 8250. Moreover, GPS, BeiDou, Glonass, Galileo, and QZSS navigation systems are all compatible with it.

MediaTek Dimensity 8250-Equipped Devices

The first gadget to use the most recent Dimensity 8250 chipset is reportedly the OPPO Reno 12. The phone will first be released in China before eventually reaching markets in Europe and other continents. But OPPO hasn’t yet formally verified any information.

Disks with the new MediaTek chipset should retail for about Rs 30,000, since the Dimensity 8250 is essentially an updated version of the Dimensity 8200. Since the Dimensity 8250 strikes a decent mix between cost, functionality, and connectivity, more businesses are anticipated to include this processor in their mid-range equipment in 2024.
