Oppo Launches K12: Features 5,500mAh Battery, 100W Wired SuperVOOC Charging; Price, Specifications Revealed

On Wednesday, April 24, the Oppo K12 was introduced in China. The phone has an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor with 512GB of onboard storage and up to 12GB of RAM. It has two rear cameras and an AMOLED display with a hole punched in the center. The phone will go on sale in China later this month and comes in three RAM and storage configurations for purchase. It seems to be an updated version of the recently released OnePlus Nord CE 4, which was unveiled in India.

Oppo K12 Cost and Accessibility

While the Oppo K12’s 12GB + 256GB and 12GB + 512GB variants are priced at CNY 1,999 (roughly Rs. 23,000) and CNY 2,499 (roughly Rs. 28,700), respectively, the Oppo K12’s 8GB + 256GB variant is priced at CNY 1,799 (roughly Rs. 20,700) in China.

On April 29, the phone will go on sale and be available for pre-order through the Oppo China store. Starry Night, which is the Chinese translation for Qingyun, and other color options are available.

Oppo K12 Specifications, Features

A 6.7-inch AMOLED full-HD+ (2,412 x 1,080 pixels) display with a refresh rate of 120Hz, a touch sampling rate of 240Hz, a dimming rate of 2,160Hz PWM, and a peak brightness level of up to 1,100 nits is featured on the Oppo K12. It has an Adreno 720 GPU, a 4nm octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 SoC, up to 12GB of LPDDR4x RAM, and up to 512GB of UFS 3.1 onboard storage. With a microSD card, the storage can be increased to 1TB. ColorOS 14, which is based on Android 14, is pre-installed on the phone.

The Oppo K12’s optics consist of two rear camera units: an 8-megapixel Sony IMX355 sensor with a 120-degree ultra-wide camera and an f/2.2 aperture, along with an LED flash, and a 50-megapixel Sony LYT-600 primary sensor with an f/1.8 aperture and optical image stabilization (OIS). A 16-megapixel sensor with an f/2.4 aperture powers the front camera.

With support for 100W SuperVOOC charging, Oppo has included a 5,500mAh battery in the Oppo K12. In terms of connectivity, it supports USB Type-C, GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, QZSS, NFC, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, and dual 4G VoLTE. A fingerprint sensor built right into the display and IP54 dust and splash resistance are features of this device. It is 186g in weight and has dimensions of 162.5 x 75.3 x 8.4 mm.
