Pre-orders receive extra storage and discounts, and the Galaxy S24 Ultra may handle 4K video at 120 frames per second

There are only two weeks left till Samsung’s new Galaxy S24 series launches, and more and more information is coming to light. A few new leaks to start the year reveal an amazing new video option along with some pre-order benefits for the Galaxy S24 series.

Samsung has been making improvements to its flagships’ video capabilities for some time now, and the Galaxy S23 Ultra that is currently available is by no means a slacker. The corporation hasn’t yet surpassed one obstacle, though: 4K recording at 120 frames per second. Although the S23 Ultra’s sensor is capable of capturing 4K video at a maximum frame rate of 60 frames per second, the software does not enable this feature.

Leaker Ice Universe on Twitter/X claims that the Galaxy S24 Ultra, which can record 4K video at 120 frames per second, may change that. It appears that the mode is presently in testing, but availability of the mode for the final release is still uncertain. While it wouldn’t be the first, it would nonetheless be an excellent product. Some other manufactures have already provided this capability, such as in the OnePlus 9 Pro and OnePlus 10 Pro (but not in the OnePlus 11 or OnePlus Open).

The Galaxy S24 Ultra will instead use a 5x telephoto lens instead of its current 10x lens, according to previous rumors.

Concurrently, an article on Naver discloses possible pre-order benefits for the Galaxy S24 series. It appears that customers will receive savings on the newly released Galaxy Buds FE or a Galaxy Watch. Additionally, Samsung will provide twice as much storage at no extra cost, as it has done with previous foldable device releases. While it’s unclear if there would be any additional benefits, Samsung has previously increased trade-in credits during pre-order times.

On January 17, the Galaxy S24 series is anticipated to debut.
