Actor Salman Khan has reportedly received a threat via mail from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang and has reported the incident to the Bandra police, according to his team.
The murder of Punjabi musician Sidhu Moose Wala is said to have been planned by gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, who is presently being held in a jail in Punjab.
Lawrence Bishnoi claimed that Salman Khan had offended the Bishnois, a sect whose beliefs include a love of animals, in 2018 when the blackbuck poaching case trial was in progress. The actor was ultimately cleared of the accusation.
In November of last year, the Maharashtra government determined that Mumbai Police will enhance Salman Khan’s security protection by two levels to Y+ grade in response to recent threats made against him by the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, according to reports.
Salman Khan has had private security for a long time. His primary guard, Gurmeet Singh a.k.a. Shera, keeps watch on him.
