The separated wife of actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Aaliya Siddiqui, spoke out about her ‘companion’ and justified her new connection in a recent interview.
Aaliya, the estranged wife of actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui, attracted notice after she recently shared an Instagram photo of herself posing with a “companion.” In a recent interview, Aaliya opened out about her connection with the Italian man who lives in Dubai and works in the IT industry. She was clear in saying that ‘he has nothing to do with her broken marriage’ to Nawazuddin. He approached her after they “met in Dubai a year ago at a common friend’s party,” Aaliya Siddiqui continued.
No one has the right to evaluate my character based on how happy I am. He has nothing to do with the fact that my broken marriage has ended because I filed for divorce two years ago, long before I met my companion (the man she posted a photo of earlier this week), therefore we only communicate for the benefit of our children. Nawaz should succeed in life, I hope. I have been fighting for a divorce for the past 19 years. If I had thought these things through, I wouldn’t have announced my (new) relationship on social media… I was mentally worn out.
Actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui and his family were accused of harassment by Aaliya during the time of their divorce. Aaliya claimed back in March that the actor had kicked her and their two kids, son Yaani, 7, and daughter Shora, 12, out of his Mumbai home. Aaliya and Nawazuddin were said to have settled their property issue after Nawazuddin sued Aaliya for defamation. The former couple had earlier been urged by the Bombay High Court to make efforts to settle their disagreements amicably while keeping in view the interests of their minor children.
