Xiaomi Sets Global Launch Date For Flagship Xiaomi 14 Series, Featuring Powerful Specs And Leica Cameras

On February 25, 2024, just before the 2024 MWC, Xiaomi plans to launch its Xiaomi 14 series worldwide. This series, which debuted the new HyperOS interface in October 2023 in China and includes the flagship Xiaomi 14 Ultra along with the global variants of the Xiaomi 14 and 14 Pro, is what made the debut.

Although it’s still unclear if the Xiaomi 14 Ultra will also be released globally at the same time, Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun has officially confirmed the global launch date.

World premiere: An Advancement Towards MWC 2024

The CEO of Xiaomi, Lei Jun, has officially announced that the Xiaomi 14 series will launch globally on February 25. This announcement represents a major lead-up to the MWC 2024. Xiaomi wants to make a big impression at one of the biggest worldwide gatherings in the tech industry, and this strategic timing highlights that goal. Though there is a lot of excitement, it’s still unclear whether the Xiaomi 14 Ultra will be part of this worldwide debut.

Xiaomi 14 Ultra Details (Anticipated)

A potent Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, up to 16GB of RAM, and the most recent version of HyperOS, which is based on Android 14, are anticipated to be included in the Xiaomi 14 Ultra, which was leaked on Geekbench. A cutting-edge ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor, a remarkable 6.7-inch 2K AMOLED 120Hz display, and a flexible quad rear camera setup with a 50-megapixel primary sensor are among the other presumed features.

Xiaomi 14 and 14 Pro: Expected Specifications

The global Xiaomi 14 and 14 Pro models will closely resemble their Chinese counterparts in terms of specs. With a 6.73-inch 2K LTPO display and a potent Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, the Pro model could impress. Up to 1TB of storage may be available.

Although the base model’s screen is somewhat smaller at 6.36 inches, both the Pro and base models are anticipated to come with LTPO AMOLED displays. The Pro model may have a 4,880mAh battery, while the base model may have a 4,610mAh battery. Both models support fast charging. The battery specifications are also promising.

A triple back camera setup under the Leica brand, comprising three 50-megapixel sensors for a range of photography requirements, may be included with the Xiaomi 14 Pro. It is anticipated that the Xiaomi 14 will have comparable camera capabilities.

The Xiaomi 14 Pro is available in China for CNY 4,999 (roughly Rs 58,000) for the 12GB + 256GB variant, while the 8GB + 256GB base model costs CNY 3,999 (roughly Rs 46,700). Official announcements regarding global pricing have not yet been made.
