Change Is A Necessity To Achieve Big Goals | Says Raj Surani, Film Producer and Director Of Octopus Entertainment

Change is always difficult but it’s mandatory in order to succeed. Octopus Entertainment’s Director Raj Surani is a perfect example of this. He has risked everything he had in his career at a crucial point to fulfill a dream no one else but he could see and he achieved his goal. Raj has started his journey in Bollywood as an extra but soon he became the most successful Dancers Coordinator and soon he opened his very own Dance Studio named Octopus Entertainments. But this journey has definitely not been easy. Let’s see how he achieved his dream.

Raj has started his career as an extra at the early age. Soon he trained rigorously with Raju Khan in order to become dancer to earn more money. Raj has worked with many well-known celebrities and many celebrated choreographers in his career span. Raj had done a tour with film stars called Merchants of Bollywood in Australia and New Zealand and later he joined Bosco And Caesar on their tour called Rockstars. There he performed with Salman Khan, Zayed Khan, Kareena Kapoor, John Abraham and other stars. They went to USA, Canada, UK and Europe. After dancing in more than 300 songs for around 7-8 years Raj had hit his saturation point and decided to take the next big step. He thought about getting into business by using his credibility of hard work he did for all the long years. He decided to get into Dancers Coordination and leave dancing. While doing this he was risking everything; his earnings, his whole career was at stake. But he decided to do it with full dedication.

Raj observed that as compared to earlier times now the songs had big budgets due to music rights and there were more dancers involved and there was a need of someone to coordinate the dancers. Raj did his first song as a dancers coordinator for Farah Khans song from Billu movie which featured Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone. For that song he arranged 50 girls from UK. This big gig gave Raj a confidence and a boost for his further journey. Later at a young age he alone arranged 300 dancers for Rohit Shetty’s movie All The Best’s title track in Ramoji Film City. It was indeed a big and difficult task but Raj completed it like a pro. Even Rohit Shetty was impressed with Raj’s this great work. Since then, he never looked back. He later did many big songs as dancers coordinator like Aahun Aahun from Love Aaj Kal, Aunty Ji from Ek Main Aur Ek Tu, Kaala Chashma from Baar Baar Dekho, Pinga from Bajirao Mastani and many more. Many songs he has worked as coordinator won many awards.

While talking about his experience Raj Surani says that in earlier days dancers coordinator was considered as a mere supplier. He used to earn money but not respect but soon the scene changed. As the good music videos started getting more value the dancers coordinators were also started getting importance. Raj has earned his respect as a dancers coordinator with his hard work, experience and his hard earned success. He soon established his own Octopus Entertainment studio and added one more feather in his hat. It became a hub for actors and dancers to collaborate, practice and learn.

Raj Surani is soon going to start something new in production but all the details about it are still kept secret. His new venture will be announced soon.
