Google Is Redesigning Android’s Earbud and Headphone Alerts

The way Android displays the battery life of your favorite headphones and earbuds has been updated by Google. The design is considerably cleaner now, allowing you to see how much power your audio equipment has remaining.

Before this modification, linked gadgets merely displayed a battery icon with a percentage beneath each accessory icon. According to a source, Google has now redesigned the layout to make it easier to read and more aesthetically pleasing.

The latest headphone battery pop-up is compatible with all Android smartphones and comes with Google Play services version 25.30.31.

A more intelligent method of checking your charge

The battery pop-up will appear differently after the update is installed, with small symbols at the top of each circle and a color-coded ring surrounding the icon of each earbud and charging case. You can see the battery level of your earbuds clearly when you open their case.

A little status icon, resembling a lightning bolt when charging, is displayed above each circle, and directly beneath it is the battery % for the left bud, case, and right bud.

The cover now displays a battery-discharging indicator and a partially full green ring, indicating that the left and right earphones are being charged. This information was not displayed in the prior message.

According to the report, the concise notification that displays all of the percentages in a single line has not changed. The ring design for the Bluetooth Device information page, which debuted in Android 15 QPR2 on the Pixel, is consistent with this new design.
