Over his years as an artist, Eric Stephen has performed at many of India’s iconic venues from featuring in Rolling Stone Magazine, to his latest release Kho Gaya Hu played on one of the famous radio station Radio City 91.1. Eric Stephen is showing no sign of slowing down, and we caught up with him to talk about his earliest influences and much more.

How are you doing? What have you been up to over the last few months? Has the current pandemic situation affected your day-to-day life?

I have been great, as we all know this pandemic made a lot of things go slow. No, it didn’t affect my day-to-day life because I’ve been recording and mixing my vocals in my in-house personal studio. But the thing, that made this process slow is filming a Music Video. We faced a lot of problems filming a video cause most of the place’s won’t allow us to film anything or we need to take permissions from police. That was the only major issue that made our process slow to release any track with video.

For those who are unfamiliar with you, what inspired you to start playing and making music?

I’ve been inspired by many artists but one the that I admire the most is Chris Brown an American R&B Singer. He’s the reason why I started R&B Genre I mean his music his dance moves are always on my mind since the first day have seen him. Collaborating with him is always been dream for me, one day sure ill try to make it real.

Tell us more about your song “Hoja Meri” achieving 100,000 views. Were you expecting the response to be so good?

Hoja Meri is one of my favourite projects till now. The reason behind this is my whole team member and crew which made it possible. This was one of my biggest projects till now It was filmed at Aqua Java Café basically this song is about a guy who falls in love with a girl and he cannot ignore her beauty throughout the song he tried to impress her, that’s the reason its named Hoja Meri which means please be mine. All the co-workers were amazing they were all very helpful. It was a nice experience.

What are your plans for the future?

Now my plans are to make some good hits some good music slowly things are opening up I’m also working around with amazing beat producers and I think this is the time you will see me collaborating with a bunch of other artists. Let’s see what happens, Peace.
