iOS 17.4 and IPadOS 17.4 Developers are now able to Access the Fourth Betas of the Software

One week after seeding the third betas, Apple provided developers with access to the fourth beta values of the upcoming iOS 17.4 and iPadOS 17.4 for testing.

Open the Settings app, navigate to the Software Update section, tap the “Beta Updates” option, and toggle on the iOS 17 or iPadOS 17 Developer Beta for registered developers to opt into the betas. To download and install the beta, you’ll need an Apple ID, either free or purchased, linked to a developer account.

Wide-ranging changes to the App Store and app ecosystem are brought about by iOS 17.4, which opens the door for alternate app stores, alternate payment methods, support for third-party browser engines, and NFC access for banks and third-party payment providers. These features won’t be accessible in other nations and are exclusive to the EU.

However, there have been modifications to gaming apps. With the release of iOS 17.4, Apple will now permit cloud gaming apps, such as Nvidia GeForce NOW and Xbox Cloud Gaming. Plug-ins, chatbots, and minigames can now make use of the in-app purchase mechanism.

iOS 17.4 also brings additional features like Stopwatch Live Activities, transcripts for podcasts in the Podcasts app, support for SharePlay with the HomePod, and new emoji characters. iOS 17.4 features guide contains complete information on all the new features in iOS 17.4.
