The Kerala Story’s day 17 box office earnings: The movie joins the 200 crore club and becomes a “all-time blockbuster”

After a fortnight since its debut, The Kerala Story has brought in over 203 crore. Sudipto Sen directed the picture. On May 5, it premiered in theatres.

Over two weeks after its release, The Kerala Story has made 203.47 crore at the domestic box office. Even if the movie’s take slightly decreased on its third Monday, it has nonetheless become a “all-time blockbuster.” The Hindi film, which was directed by Sudipto Sen and starred Adah Sharma, was released on May 5 in India.

The West Bengal government out of concern about racial tensions outlawed the movie on May 8. Tamil Nadu theatres made the decision to stop showing the film starting on May 7 due to the law-and-order situation and low attendance. The West Bengal government’s ruling prohibiting the movie in the state was overturned last week by the Supreme Court, which also ordered Tamil Nadu to guarantee audiences’ safety.

Vipul recently told the news organisation ANI that he intended to invite Mamata Banerjee, the chief minister of West Bengal, to see this movie. She can critique the film after viewing it, he had stated. We welcome any constructive criticism. However, we believe that a few people led her astray. She demanded a ban despite not having seen the film.
