Think You’re Too Old to Be an Entrepreneur? Think Again

It is generally believed that we can’t control time, but what we can do is control how we spend it. Sure, when we are young, we have more time on our hands to experiment, take risks, and make mistakes. But that doesn’t mean we should write off older entrepreneurs achieving success later.

Many successful entrepreneurs we know today started their businesses later in life. It is safe to say that age is just a number, and when it comes to being an entrepreneur, that number should not hold you back.

Bryce Cleveland, Scalpa’s CEO, encourages entrepreneurs to stop thinking they are racing against time when it comes to achieving their business goals. “There is no age limit on becoming successful. Many of the world’s most successful businessmen and women didn’t achieve their level of success until after the age of 50. So if you’re feeling down because you think you’re too old to be an entrepreneur, don’t give up! There’s still time for you to achieve your dreams,” Bryce Cleveland says.

It’s Never Too Late To Start

Not many who wander are lost. The same goes for entrepreneurship. It is never too late to start your own business, and age should not be a reason to give up on your dreams.

“The most important thing is to have a dream and go after that dream. Never give up, and don’t listen to anybody who tries to dissuade you,” Bryce Cleveland says.

He further shared:

“I know a couple of people who have spent years building careers in a certain industry but were never really passionate about what they were doing. They worked hard and achieved success, but it wasn’t until later in life that they decided to take a leap of faith and pursue their real passion for aesthetics. Now, they are enrolled in Scalpa’s Microblading Certification program, and they love every minute of it! If they had listened to the naysayers, they would have never found their passion.”

Reasons Why Age Shouldn’t Be a Deterrent

The beauty of entrepreneurship is that it does not discriminate. Age, race, and gender are not factors when starting your own business. All you need is an idea, a plan, and the drive to see it through. Here are some important factors to consider if you feel like giving up on your entrepreneurial dreams:

Happiness

Happiness and fulfillment should be your ultimate goal in life, not just success. It is never too late to find what makes you happy and follow that path.

“I believe that being an entrepreneur and building something from scratch can make you a happier person. The sense of accomplishment and pride you feel when you see your hard work pay off is unlike anything else,” Bryce Cleveland says.

The World Needs Your Idea

Also, keep in mind that the world needs your ideas. Your ideas and creativity are always needed regardless of how old you are. Presently, several issues still need to be solved, and your ideas may be the key to solving them.

We’re Rooting For You

So if you are an aspiring entrepreneur who is feeling discouraged because of your age, don’t be! Here at Scalpa, we are rooting for you. It’s never too late to achieve your dreams.

“I encourage everyone to follow their dreams and never give up. If you have an idea, go after it with everything you’ve got. The world needs your creativity and your passion,” Bryce Cleveland says.
