Weaving in success with their highest-quality Patolas is the brand ‘Dineshbhai Patolawala’.

Established in 1949, the Patola brand has taken people closer to the Indian culture through their impeccable weaves and fabrics.

The kind of success and the level of momentum some brands and businesses have acquired around the globe prove their expertise and excellence in the same, apart from their pure passion and will to offer value to people through what they offer. To create one’s unique standing in the competitive markets cannot be attained overnight. Brands and businesses work relentlessly hard to achieve their desired success, and serving as a classic example of a well-built and consistently progressing brand in the world of textile is ‘Dineshbhai Patolawala’. This brand exudes the pure passion of the creators of the prized art called Patola, which is a traditional method of dyeing and weaving of fabrics that involve careful calculations as well as precise execution.

The brand was established in the year 1949. Their history is as rich as the Patolas they make. Decades ago, the family from Patan went out of Rajkot to search for large markets and get more artwork opportunities. Indian leaders like the first prime minister Jawaharlal Nehru, and Lal Bahadur Shastri Ji, along with the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi, helped this family move out of Rajkot and help Pethajibhai Makwana and his family members to begin the work of making Rajkotiyan handmade Patola.

Through years of hard work and commitment for creating the best Patolas in town, after Pethajibhai Makwana, his son Dineshbhai Makwana took over the business and gave massive success to the same with his son Niraj Makwana. This led to the creation of their brand named “Dineshbhai Patolawala.” Patolas were arts that were once reserved for the Royal families of Gujarat and later for high-ranked noblemen. Dineshbhai Makwana, his father with his robust team of professionals, made it available for all through his brand, dealing in wholesale and retail markets.

The Patola weave is an exquisite display of colour with unique complex patterns and has basic design motifs like flowers, animals, birds and human figures. They say Patola originated 600 years ago, owing to the patronage of king Kumarpala, who made it a symbol of wealth. Today, Patan, Mehsana and Rajkot have become hubs for Patola saree production. Its method includes dyeing a bunch of yarn, weaving it into fine fabrics of various designs and motifs.

Dineshbhai Patolawala is driven towards its vision of maintaining traditional art even in the modern-day world and serving as a role model in the textile industry, serving traditional clothes in India and across other countries, maintaining their customer’s trust. Their fabric is 100% pure silk with silk trademark and their sarees flows to a length of 246 inches. They offer great designs in Patola like Vohra Bhat, Paan Bhat, The Naari, Navratna, 3 Phool design, Mota Hathi design, Narikunj Lehryu and the list is long with designs like checks, gaala, butta, a combination of traditional and modern art, etc.

Dineshbhai Patolawala also became exporters of Patola in 2017, and there is a reason why they have also been highly revered and recognized with awards and accolades in the textile industry.
