Recently, the Tecno Pop 8 was released in all countries. It has a 5,000mAh battery that supports 10W wired fast charging and a Unisoc T606 SoC. It was recently hinted that the phone would be available in India. The phone’s national launch date has now been disclosed by the company. It has also been verified that the phone is available in India. Some of the most important details about the upcoming smartphone from Tecno have been leaked, including its design, color options, display specifications, AnTuTu score, RAM, and storage configurations.
Tecno announced in a press release that the Tecno Pop 8 will go on sale in India on January 3. It is also confirmed that Amazon in India is carrying the phone. The e-commerce website has a live handset microsite. According to Tecno, the entry-level smartphone is the fastest 8GB model in the market with an AnTuTu score of 240K.
According to the company, the Tecno Pop 8’s 8GB RAM on the Indian version consists of 4GB of real RAM and 4GB of virtual RAM. 64GB of internal storage will be included with the phone. Additionally, a 90Hz Dot-In display with a Dynamic Port—a function akin to Apple’s Dynamic Port—that shows notifications and other alerts is confirmed to be included. The phone will be available in Gravity Black and Mystery White upon launch in India.
The Tecno Pop 8’s global version features a 6.6-inch HD+ (720 x 1,612 pixels) LCD panel with a refresh rate of 90Hz and comes pre-installed with Android T-Go. It is equipped with an octa-core Unisoc T606 chipset, up to 128GB of internal storage, and up to 4GB of RAM.
The Tecno Pop 8 has an LED flash in addition to a 13-megapixel dual rear camera unit. For taking selfies and making video calls, the front has an 8-megapixel sensor. With a 5,000mAh battery that supports 10W wired charging, the phone is said to provide more than 900 hours of standby time between charges.
