Web Desk for India Today On Wednesday in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, activists protested the upcoming Bollywood film Pathaan and its song Besharam Rang. After state minister Narottam Mishra demanded that the film be banned due to “objectionable scenes” and the usage of saffron costumes, there was a protest.

Actor effigies of Deepika Padukone and Shah Rukh Khan were set on fire by Veer Shivaji Group activists who had assembled at a traffic light, according to PTI.

Pathaan, one of the most anticipated movies of 2023, recently released its first single, Besharam Rang. And it quickly became a topic of conversation after Shah Rukh Khan’s leading man Shah Rukh Padukone’s clothing colour was criticised by Madhya Pradesh Home Minister Narottam Mishra, who called for its “rectification.”

According to Mishra, the government will think about what to do about the movie’s screening in the state if certain sequences in the song are not “fixed.”

Notably, Narottam Mishra threatened legal action against the Bollywood film Adipurush’s producers in October if portions depicting Hindu holy icons in the “wrong” way were not cut. Adipurush is based on the epic Ramayana.
