Panasonic Holdings Corp. is wanting to put a few billion bucks in a plant in Kansas to supply another high-limit battery for Tesla Inc’s. electric vehicles, Japanese media source Nikkei provided details regarding Wednesday.
The Japanese partnership intends to significantly increase or fourfold EV battery creation limit by monetary 2028 from the ongoing degree of around 50 gigawatt-hours out of each year.
The processing plant is projected to cost $4 billion and may have upwards of 4,000 representatives with normal yearly compensations of $50,000.
Oklahoma and Kansas were finalists in Panasonic’s hunt to supply the batteries to the U.S. electric automaker’s plant in Texas.

There is no firm time span for when the Kansas office may be finished. Reuters proposed Panasonic would start fabricating the batteries at a Japanese plant by 2024 preceding moving creation to the United States.
While Panasonic hasn’t declared precisely where in Kansas the new plant will be found, Johnson County is a logical chance.
