Rony: Portland’s Next Biggest Rap Star

Rony has all the charisma and increasing buzz to position himself as raps next trending star. After the recent viral success of his song “Invincible” it’s evident that he does not intend on being a one hit wonder. With his growing popularity, Rony comes across as private person social media, but he assures that his personality is just as big as his chart-climbing hit. Rony was born on September 6, 1999 in Mission Viejo, California. He later moved to Portland in 2005, where he spent most of his early years.

“I just want to put Portland on the map, music wise. We often get overlooked as artists, since we live in the Pacific Northwest. But, there’s actually lot of talent, and dope musicians in my city. I just wish we could come together as a community and make music, unfortunately there’s a lot of jealousy between one another. But most importantly, if my family and homies good, then I’m straight”.

The rapper currently resides in Portland, Oregon but is originally from Mission Viejo, California. During childhood, he was bought up listening to Michael Jackson, Nas, 50 cent and Lil Wayne through his uncle. When he was in the sixth grade, Rony began to learn play the clarinet. He he continued to create poems inspired by the flows of artists like Kanye West. Shortly after, the influences of rapper Kanye West and his Graduation collective were what led him to pursuing rap full-time.
