The horror-comedy starring Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon is still moving along at the box office after a steady Tuesday. The movie earned Rs 28.55 crore nett throughout its first weekend after debuting at Rs 7.48 crore. Both viewers and critics gave the movie mixed to favourable reviews. The werewolf drama, which was directed by Amar Kaushik, brought in almost Rs 39 crore on Day 6. Varun Dhawan’s “Drishyam 2” is giving it stiff competition at the box office, but on weekdays, it is performing well.
Bhediya, starring Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon, debuted in theatres on November 25 in a variety of languages. Trade rumours claim that Bhediya keeps a straight face during the workweek. Early trade reports state that the movie brought in about Rs 3.20 crore on Day 6, bringing the total to Rs 39.06 crore. On Thursday, it appears to surpass the Rs 40-crore threshold.
Box Office India claims that “Similar to Vikram Vedha, Bhediya was well received by critics and the industry but poorly received by audiences. Both movies suffered greatly in Gujarat’s and Central India’s mass marketplaces, and now these markets are necessary for movies to succeed. The best market for Bhediya in terms of business is probably Delhi and Uttar Pradesh, but even this is not great.”
Amar Kaushik and Dinesh Vijan are the directors and producers of the comedy-horror movie Bhediya. On November 25, the Bollywood movie was released in theaters. With this, Kaushik brought the horror-comedy genre back with Stree (2018), which was a huge success at the box-office. Varun is being praised for his ‘brilliant’ performance in the film. Bhediya, produced under the banner of Maddock Films is an addition to the cinematic horror comedy universe of the production house and also stars Abhishek Banerjee.
It takes place in Arunachal Pradesh. When a wolf bites a young guy named Bhaskar in the wilderness, he begins to change into a werewolf. Along with his companions, he searches for solutions to solve a problem and unravel a long-standing mystery.
