The Redmi K70 series doubles sales of the K60 series and sets a record by selling 600K+ units in just 5 minutes

The Redmi K70e, K70, and K70 Pro are the three models that make up the Redmi K70 series, which Redmi just unveiled in China. Today was the series’ first sale, and it was a huge success, selling over 600,000 units in little over five minutes.

The K70 series not only broke the historic record of selling more than 600,000 units in the first five minutes of sales during the first sales period, but it also showed remarkable growth by more than doubling the volume of sales of the Redmi K60 series, which was released in December 2022. Redmi’s general manager of marketing, Wang Teng, stated that this achievement definitely sets the highest sales record in the K series’ history.

Price of Redmi K70 series

The 12 GB RAM + 256 GB storage model of the Redmi K70e, which is billed as the first phone with the Dimensity 8300-Ultra, is priced at 1,999 Yuan ($282). Other configurations cost 2,199 Yuan ($310) and 2,599 Yuan ($366), respectively, and include 12 GB RAM + 512 GB storage and 16 GB RAM + 1 TB storage.

With the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, the Redmi K70 is positioned as a sub-flagship phone with several configuration options. The 12 GB RAM + 256 GB storage model costs 2,499 Yuan (~$352), while the 16 GB RAM + 1 TB storage model costs 3,399 Yuan (~$465).

Given its starting price of 3,299 Yuan (~$465) for the 12 GB RAM + 256 GB storage edition, the Redmi K70 Pro is clearly the most reasonably priced Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 phone. Moreover, 16 GB RAM + 256 GB storage, 16 GB RAM + 512 GB storage, and 24 GB RAM + 1 TB storage are available for 3,599 Yuan (~$508), 3,899 Yuan (~$550), and 4,399 Yuan (~$620), in that order.

Glacier Silver, Pale Green, and Black are the available color options for the Redmi K70e. Eggplant Light Purple is an additional color option for the K70. The K70 and K70 Pro are available in Black, Glacier Silver, and Bamboo Moon Blue.

The upcoming Poco X6 Pro 5G is reportedly going to be a rebranded Redmi K70e for the international market. It is expected that the K70 Pro will become the Poco F6 Pro 5G in the international market. According to some reports, the Poco F6 5G might come with the Dimensity 9200 Plus chipset.
