Justin Allen is just one of those people you actually feel joy to be around. Even if it’s just a brief conversation, like the one we had with him. Why? Because Allen is one of those people with seemingly boundless reserves of energy and excitement, and let’s face it, these people can be contagious. We love hanging out or communicating with energetic, visionary types, because that inspire us to hatch and nurture our own ideas. That’s how Allen works, by talking about his own entrepreneurial ventures, he always manages to make you really think about your own direction and professional goals. And who knows, maybe get you just a little bit closer to them.
For those of you who aren’t familiar with Allen already, don’t worry, because there are plenty of ways to get to know the guy. He’s doing a little bit of everything, which makes him one of our favorite all-round entrepreneurs.
Allen started his own LLC in the security service industry back in 2013, and swiftly managed to build that into a multi-million-dollar business along with his partner Darryl Wilson. He worked with numerous big names in various creative fields, and soon realized he had a strong affinity with such types. First, Allen was drawn towards the sports field, which prompted him to open up his own sports agency, DA Method Sports Agency (partnered with Darryl Wilson & James “AJ” Mason), and sure enough, his own fitness apparel line, DA Method Apparel (with aforementioned partners).
Still, not satisfied with working with sport types alone, Allen then set his sights on the creative universe at large and set about finding a way to expand the creative scene in his hometown of Washington DC. The breakthrough came with the inception of his bar, the Premier Lounge, which also doubles as a barber’s shop, Premier Cutz, in the lounge upstairs. Basically, it’s an innovative concept that allows you to grab a beer with friends, while you wait for your haircut, or after. It saves time, it’s effective, and we’ve no doubt, it’ll be a tremendous success.
Which brings us to the question…what is next for Justin Allen? While at the moment, he’s got plenty of things to do in setting up Premier Lounge and Premier Cutz, we doubt it’ll keep him busy for long.
Now, what we haven’t told you about the DA Method duo is that it’s got a very specific idea behind it. Stemming from his own disappointments, Allen has put all his energy in building a brand that inspires athletes and fitness enthusiasts to adapt and overcome whatever setback they might encounter along the way. And if you look carefully at all his businesses, it’s clear to see that Allen has infused them all with the same boundless energy and resilience.
So whatever Allen’s next entrepreneurial venture will be, you can be pretty sure it will have these same notions at its base and be built on the same core values (respect, honor, pride and loyalty), as all of Allen’s other businesses.
