Princess Beatrice weds in private service at Windsor

Princess Beatrice got hitched in a private service Friday, with her grandma, Queen Elizabeth II, in participation, Buckingham Palace said Friday.

Beatrice wedded Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi at The Royal Chapel of All Saints at Royal Lodge, Windsor. The ruler, the Duke of Edinburgh and other close relatives joined in.

Rules set up to stop the spread of COVID-19 were followed, the royal residence said.

Beatrice, the girl of Prince Andrew and his previous spouse Sarah Ferguson, had initially intended to wed the property head honcho on May 29 in the Chapel Royal at St James’ Palace. The service was deferred in view of the pandemic.

Friday’s service had not been declared and pictures of the function were not promptly discharged.

The groups of the love birds have known each other for a long time. The pair are said to have begun a relationship subsequent to meeting again at the wedding of Beatrice’s sister, Princess Eugenie.

Andrew and Sarah, who stay on excellent terms in spite of their 1996 separation, said at the hour of Beatrice’s commitment that they were “excited” with the news.

Their more youthful little girl, Eugenie, wedded Jack Brooksbank in 2018.
