Redmi Note 13 Pro to launch in India in January 2024: anticipated features, cost, and more

When it comes to smartphone launches, 2024 already appears to be promising and 2023 will soon come to an end. Samsung is expected to release the Galaxy S24 during the second week of January, and OnePlus is expected to introduce the OnePlus 12 in India on January 24. Redmi has now officially announced that the Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus will launch in India, and it will happen sooner than you may think.

The smartphone maker formally revealed that the Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus will launch in India in January 2024 during the Redmi 13C series launch keynote. The Redmi Note 13 series, which will replace the Redmi Note 12 series—which has already debuted in China—is anticipated to include the device.

India launch of the Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus is confirmed

At the end of the Redmi 13C event, the company disclosed that the video was shot with the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G, indicating that the device will be released in India later this month. Excitement for the official unveiling of the device has been heightened by its appearances on multiple certification websites.

The Redmi Note 13 series, which will consist of the Redmi Note 13 5G and Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G, was teased at the Redmi 13C event. These models are expected to offer better features and advancements over their predecessors, and they have already been introduced in China.

Expected features and cost in India

The 6.67-inch 1.5K OLED screen on the Note 13 Pro Plus in China has a refresh rate of 120Hz, which guarantees a sharp and colorful display. It is anticipated that the Indian version will also include the same features. The phone may have G610 graphics and a potent 4nm octa-core Dimensity 7200 Ultra processor under the hood. The device is expected to ship with MIUI 14 out of the box and has an anticipated launch price of up to 16GB RAM and 512GB storage in India.

Additionally, the phone may come with a 5,000mAh battery that supports 120W charging, ensuring users can maintain connectivity all day. An amazing 200MP primary lens, 8MP ultrawide, and a 2MP macro rear lens are probably part of the camera setup. A 16MP selfie shooter is also probably included for taking some amazing photos.

Advanced connectivity features available on the Chinese model include USB Type-C port for fast data transfer and charging, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC, and Wi-Fi 6. It’s possible that these features will also be added to the phone’s Indian version.

The Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus 5G is available in China for 1,999 yuan, which, after conversion to Indian currency, is approximately Rs 23,000 in price. Given the pricing strategy of the Redmi Note 12 Pro Plus 5G, its predecessor, the Indian variant is anticipated to have a starting price of approximately Rs 30,000. Users should proceed with caution when interpreting this information, as the phone’s final India price will be revealed in January.
